Ideally you should find time to mediate every day but in this fast world we live in, two or three times a week can be sufficient,
Going to attend a mediation course is the first step to see if it works for you, however, once you have attained the correct type of meditation that brings about the calmness of mind and body you require, you will begin to enjoy your own personal space.
