In the Tarot Pack, the five of cups is depicted as a person enveloped in a dark cloak, looking at a set of three beautiful gold cups. In the background are two more golden cups near a bridge.
To me as a working Tarot Card reader in Cheshire, it implies that my client, or someone close to them, has to decide about their emotional state of mind and make a choice. It could be the client attending a private reading has a sense of loss due to a break up of a relationship with either a love interest, a relative or a friend.
The three cups in the foreground of the picture relate to well known emotions, but the other cups in the background are tempting that person to move forward over the next bridge in their personal life.
If someone has experienced grief, the five of cups could relate to their sense of loss and belief that if they hold on to their memories, they can stay where they are in life without making any decisions. Unfortunately this is not the case.
The other two cups and the bridge show that it is good to have memories, but life has many bridges that need to be crossed. It’s best to be when it comes to new emotional beginnings; make a decision and walk over the next bridge.
The card can indicate positivism, but clearly shows a client having a private reading is suffering a sense of loss or feeling negative.
