When I work, my clients will often ask about my religion and what is Spiritualism, how is it different from other religions?
I am proud to be a spiritualist, however a large percentage of traditional members of other religious faiths do not realise that Spiritualism is an accepted and established religion.
The Seven Principles spiritualists follow are legal and lawfully accepted, each one can have a meaning to anyone.
The Fatherhood of God
Nature and its inhabitants were all made by God, Laws of cause and effect is due to a creative force that affects the world. The power of God is evidential in all forms of life.
The Brotherhood of Man
We as humans are one large family; a brotherhood that regularly needs support. The purpose of this principle is to remind us to support and comfort all.
We should learn to give and to share in the good things in life but also the hard times and burdens that can affect humans and animals.
A person who gives has also to learn to receive to bring about a balance in life itself.
The Communion of Spirits and the Ministry of Angels
A Spiritualist church brings together people of all races, each one hoping that the medium taking the service will give them a message from a relative or friend.
Continuous Existence of the Human Soul
Scientists agree that matter is proven as being an energy that cannot be destroyed. A medium will give proof that although a physical body may not be of use. The spirit of the person has passed to another dimension and their personalities and character lives on.
Personal Responsibility
This principle is one that touches each living person as a reminder that all wrongful deeds and choices lie with the individual and they are the ones responsible for every aspect of their life.
